NOVEMBER 2018: INTERNATIONAL TERROIR RENAISSANCE CONFERENCE in SHANGAI

Aubert de Villaine (DRC), Pierre-Henry-Gagey (Louis Jadot), Bernard Hervet, Ian D’Agata and many more guest speakers at an unforgettable academic encounter devoted to terroir!

Two days of in-depth masterclasses and a world-class conference saw terroir as the centerpiece of the scientific discussions in front of a sellout, enthusiastic crowd of Chinese wine professionals. Ian D’Agata broached the topic of Italian terroirs and their wines, drawing up the interesting parallels and the polar opposites between Italy, France and other countries, making for a lively debate and series of dicussions. Ian also guided a masterclass on the wines of Amarone della Valpolicella and their terroirs along with SabrinaTedeschi, president of the Le Famiglie Storiche, the group of fine wineries Ian chose to invite as his guests to this year’s edition of the terroir symposium. Le Famiglie Storiche is a group of Amarone’s best producers including Brigaldara, Masi, Speri, Tedeschi, Tenuta Sant’Antonio, Tommasi and Zenato, among others.
