Collisioni and its team are honoured to congratulate Ian D’Agata, Creative Director of Collisioni Vino&Food Project, for being awarded last March, 24 with Cuvée Award of Excellence at Scotiabank Convetion Centre in Niagara Falls (Canada). The award is one of the most important wine recognitions in Ontario and it was never been won by an Italian before. The event, now in its 28th edition, is organised by Brock University’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute for a private, a company or an institution, that has the merit of helping Ontario wines all over the world and it is thus expecially meaningful for Ian D’Agata, who has always been into wine research.

The Award was given by Tony Aspler, the almost 70ish dean of Canadian wine writers, who expressed his and the committee choice with these words: “Ian deserves this award for his hard work with Ontario wines (and not only); it is a recognition of the highest importance, as no journalist, not even Canadian, has ever won it before. This fact underlines Ian’s exceptional work, that we all  greatly appreciate”.

“I was speechless when I came to know about the award”  Ian D’Agata admits “I didn’t expect it; it is a award honouring me deeply, I would have never imagined, at the beginning of my career, that one day a viticultural region would have elected me amng those who helped it grow-up and communicate itself all over the world”.
